It is strongly recommended to cut 2-4 sizes above your waist size in order to ensure that the track is on center and to increase adjustability. Remember, you can always trim the belt, but once you have cut it, you cannot add it back. For example, if you are a size 36, cut the belt on the size mark (38-40).
